Ardawling
the woods are lovely, dark and deep

Well, the script is official.

Max Irons as Will Herondale? I think so.

Let the casting anxiety begin.

theherondaleboys:

I feel sorry because no one can live up to the Will I have in my head. I apologise in advance to all actors for not being able to compete with that.

I know right? I’m pulling for Max Irons personally. To me he’s about the closest in looks and acting and natural charm—have you seen his interviews? I could just listen to him all day..he has that charm that not many people have. And I think so much about Will’s character needs to be actor who has that charm, that ability to pull you in.

First of all, as soon as I saw the family tree I was dying to know more about the kids. Now that there is going to be a trilogy, I’m beyond containing myself with glee.
Let’s play a game and try to figure out what TLH stands for. Not going to lie, my first thought was The Last Herondale(s). I don’t know why, but I feel like Lost might be the L word. :P

"Clockwork Princess was always meant to be a loose retelling of Tale of Two Cities." - Cassie Clare

If by loose that means a totally different ending, then okay. Because I am not okay with Will having the same fate as Sydney.

Anonymous → Do you think Will or Jem will die in Clockwork Princess?

I’m kind of on the fence about it.

I mean logically, I think Will has to live because of Jace. In the real world, the chances of Jace being a direct descendent of Will is probably about as possible as him NOT being a direct descendent.

In a fictional series that is tied to another with both main characters having the same last name, share similar qualities and parallels…it’s much more possible. Stories are all about plots and connecting everything together. I don’t think it makes sense, from a literal aspect, to have Will and Jace not be directly related.

Emma on the other hand…I actually feel like her chances of not being directly related to Jem are a little higher. TID and TMI are very much connected, and I think TDA is going to be more like a continuation of TMI.

Anyway, Jem is predicted to die, which almost makes me believe he won’t die. Will is set up as a tragic hero, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he did die. But logic comes back and I remember Jace.

So yeah. I feel like Jem dying, becoming a SB, or finding a cure are all equally possible. What is curious to me is how Will says he could never be with Tessa if Jem dies—what if Jem finds out about Will and Tessa, will he be able to be with Tessa if Will dies?

Hm.

So Will loves Tessa, but Tessa is engaged to Jem, who Cecily might have a crush on, even though she’s the sister of his best friend—is it just me, or are things going to get REALLY awkward.

Did anyone else see Will cast Expelliarmus in the Clockwork Princess trailer? :D

I feel like the only person who isn’t even slightly torn between Tessa/Will and Tessa/Jem. lol Does anyone else feel this way? Like you’re completely 100% one side and don’t ship the other at all?

It kind of disappoints me that I’m not torn at all.

Headcanon: Tessa can have children.

She ends up with Will and eventually they have twin boys.

They name them Sydney Carstairs and James Herondale.

Carstairs gets passed down by name. Herondale gets passed down by blood.

Tessa couldn’t help herself; despite everything, she giggled. “It laces,” she whispered. “In the back,” and she guided his hands around her until his fingers were on the strings of the corset. She shivered then, and not from cold, but from the intimacy of the gesture.” - Clockwork Princess

As much as I want this to be Will, I have a feeling he’s had plenty of experience with corsets and knows exactly where it laces. :P
